EA Sports' FIFA 12 is a great entry for the series and hopefully some of that magic can be carried over to the Vita version. EA has released a handful of screens for the title and while it's not as great looking as its PS3 brother. Speaking of the PS3 it'll be interesting to see what, if any interoperability there is between the two editions. Regardless, EA says that the Vita version of the game will not skimp on the features Hopefully the Vita's control scheme can keep up with the series demanding gameplay.

Now that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has been cleared for sale in Australia, Samsung is taking the opportunity to publicly celebrate its courtroom victory at Apple's expense. A local newspaper ad that flatly brands Sammy's slate as "the tablet Apple tried to stop." The spot which ran in the Sun-Herald this week came just a few days before Samsung Australia's mobile head openly credited Cupertino for making the Galaxy Tab a "household name."

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Samsung Australia's vice president of telecommunications, Tyler McGee declined to say how much his company lost in sales revenue due to Apple's temporary injunction but was more than willing to laud the iPad maker for inadvertently turning the spotlight on the Galaxy Tab. "At the end of the day the media awareness certainly made the Galaxy Tab 10.1 a household name compared to probably what it would've been based on the investment that we would've put into it from a marketing perspective," McGee explained. The exec went on to say that the manufacturer is bringing to market "as many units as we can," since it expects the device to be in "short supply against the demand."

Beware! Samsung Galaxy S II users

You might find there are some slightly different of the Samsung Galaxy S II that you purchase now compare to the Samsung Galaxy S II that your friend purchased a few months back. Basically Samsung has blend both the model GT-I9100 and GT-I9100G into the market and treated it as Samsung Galaxy S II but you may find that some of the users commented that both are not the same and there are performance differences when you run some resources crunching app/ games. So how true is it? And is there really a differences between GT-I9100 vs. GT-I9100G?

Basically both the I9100 and I9100G have the identical features as claimed by Samsung but the only thing that differentiate both is the processor and GPU that the unit run. I9100 run on 1.2GHz ARM CortexA9 Exynos 4210 and ARM Mali-400 GPU while I9100G uses Texas Instruments OMAP4430 CPU and PowerVR SGX540 GPU.

The processor for I9100G seems to be capped at lower clock speed of 1008Mhz and it seldom goes up till the 1.2GHz as claim by Samsung even while performing Stress Test or benchmarks. But one thing for sure, the I9100G seem to have a better control of Galaxy S II′s poor battery life and overheating issue faced by most of I9100 users. And as claim by the review, user of I9100G may encounter some problem to download some apps / games in the Android Market/Samsung Apps on I9100G as it failed to be optimized for the TI processor.

From the comparison above, it seem that I9100 fare better compare to I9100G, if price of both units is the same then I9100 should be a better option since Samsung improved the I9100 I/O, 3D performance and battery life with the latest Android firmware ver 2.3.5. But if short battery life is your main concern and you don’t want to mess with the firmware update thing then I9100G should be good enough for you. On the other hand, if you are some hardcore gamer and like to play with the custom firmware and kernel modification thing then you should try to get the model I9100 instead.

Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 announced

Nokia's big announcement isn't until tomorrow but it looks like some of the surprise has now been spoiled by a leak out of Nokia World in London. As you can see in the image above obtained by WinRumors, Nokia is apparently set to announce the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710, both of which of course run Windows Phone and each of which have turned up in some less-than-clear leaks before. In fact, we just got a hold of a shot of the 800 earlier today ourselves (looking a lot like the company's Meego-based N9) while the Lumia 710 has previously surfaced under the Sabre codename. If the rumors are to be believed, you can apparently look for both to hit European markets in November with a US launch slated for sometime next year, although we'd certainly recommend waiting until tomorrow before you get too disappointed about that latter possibility.

The iPhone 4S is a dual-radio phone that can operate on both CDMA and GSM networks. The Camera is no slouch either. It's an 8 Megapixel Still camera which is 1/3 faster than the iPhone 4's camera. The backside illuminated CMOS offers a 73% brighter picture. For video recording, the camera is capable of 1080p video and includes video stabilization. The camera has a 5 lens system for absolutely wonderful lighting, clarity, and accurate shots.

The iPhone 4S also includes a voice feature called Siri. The feature allows for you to have a 'conversation' with your iPhone by talking to it to get results. You can tell your iPhone 4S to tell you how to get somewhere, or to set an alarm, and there are several more things that you can command your iPhone 4S to do with Siri. It works right out of the box and learns your voice and talking habits to work better for you. It’ll be built-in with support for English, French, and German. Microsoft has finally introduced Windows 8 yesterday and released the developer preview as well. What’s interesting in this developer preview that anyone can download it now, not developers only. In case you’re looking forward to get your hands on Windows 8, you can do it now.

Windows 8 requirements are the same as Windows 7 so if you’re currently running Windows 7, then no worries. You’ll need 1GHz Processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of free hard disk space and a DirectX 9 graphics card with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver. To try Windows multi-touch, you’ll need a multi-touch capable hardware.

Migrate your Facebook account to Google+

You may not be ready to ditch Facebook for good, but now that you've had a chance to kick the tires on Google+, you might be ready to make it your go-to social network. The problem: You've built up a lot of friends, photos, videos, and other data on Facebook over the years, and you don't want to simply lose all that data. Here's how to migrate it all from Facebook to Google+.

Migrate Your Friends

The easiest way to migrate your Facebook friends is to import them through a Yahoo email address. I know that sounds awful, but hear me out: While a few people have created browser extensions and other migration methods, Facebook shuts them down pretty quickly, since they don't like non-partners pulling friend data. In addition, the non-Yahoo methods usually add your Facebook friends to Google Contacts, which you probably don't want. You may not have a Yahoo account, but that's what makes this method great—no need to fill up your main address book with Facebook junk. Plus, it really does only take a few minutes.

To do this, head to mail.yahoo.com and click the Create New Account button (if you already have a Yahoo or Flickr account, you can skip this step). Once you've created an account, sign in and head to the Contacts tab. Click on "Import Contacts" and choose the Facebook option. You should now see all your Facebok friends in your Yahoo address book.

Lastly, head to Google+ and go to the Circles tab. Click "Find and Invite" and click the Yahoo button. It'll add all your Yahoo Contacts (or Facebook Friends, in this case), to the Find and Invite page and you can add your Facebook friends to your circles. I, for one, was shocked at how many of my friends were already using Google+ without me knowing.

Migrate Your Photos

Migrating your photos is ridiculously easy with the previously mentioned Move Your Photos Chrome extension. Install it, click on its icon in the extension bar, and log in to your Facebook account. Select the photos you want to transfer and click the upload button at the very bottom of the page. You'll see the progress in the lower right-hand corner. Don't log out while it works, just let it do its thing.

When it's done, you'll see those albums in Google+. By default, they won't be public, and you can adjust each album's privacy settings by going into them and clicking on the "Edit" link under "Visible To".

If you don't want to use Chrome, you can grab a similar extension for Firefox, but you have to transfer albums one by one. If you have Chrome installed, I recommend using the Chrome extension just this once because it's much faster.

Migrate Your Videos

The only way to migrate your videos, unfortunately, is to download the entirety of your Facebook data and re-upload them.

Once you've wrangled all the videos you want to move to Google+, you'll just have to upload them one by one. Head into Google+, click on your profile, and go to "Videos". Hit the "Upload New Videos" link and re-upload your videos to your Google+ profile.

Update and View Both Networks at Once

Now that all your data's been migrated, you can enjoy using Google+ as your main social network. However, chances are you still have a few friends on Facebook you want to keep up with. The best way to do this is with the Start Google Plus extension for both Chrome and Firefox. Once you install it, you'll see a Facebook and Twitter icon in the upper right-hand corner, which you can click on to connect your other accounts. Once your Facebook account's been linked, every status update you make on Google+ will have the option of posting to Facebook as well, just by clicking on the Facebook icon. It'll take with it any links, pictures, or other data that the status contains.

Start Google Plus will also plug your Facebook feed into your Google+ feed, so you don't even need to check Facebook anymore. Just check your Google+ feed, and it'll show you all of Facebook's news feed as well, with links to comment if you so desire.

Nexus Prime on late 2011

Google and Samsung could be teaming up once again and this time for the first Android 4.0 handset. Several online news sources claims to be in possession of knowledge that Samsung Romania will be the manufacturer to make the Nexus 3 which will be the 2nd Nexus phone Samsung has made. The newest Nexus phone is probably one of the hottest news on the smartphone market other than the new iPhone 5 of course. Rumors also have been swirling that the first Ice Cream Sandwich handset would also be notable for another absence, physical buttons and given that the next iteration of Android blends parts of Honeycomb and Gingerbread, it's very possible that any 4.0+ devices could operate without hard keys.

The "monster-size" screen will be branded as a "Super AMOLED HD" display, matching up with previous reports of a 720p resolution. For the sake of comparison, today's top Android smart phones feature qHD screens that operate at 960x540-pixel resolution, whereas midrange devices now typically run with 800x480-pixel resolution. The processor speed for the Nexus Prime is a next-generation dual-core CPU, in either 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz speeds. As for as the chipset, the most likely candidate will be Texas Instruments' OMAP 4460 or Qualcomm's latest (Krait) Snapdragon.

In other hardware, the camera will be 5 megapixels, but the sensor will be improved for higher quality images and better low-light conditions. Like many Android handsets on the market, the Nexus Prime will offer a front-facing (1-megapxiel) camera for video chat.
Rounding out the details, BGR advises we can expect 4G LTE support and at least 1GB of RAM. While these specifications are anything but official, we've put together a list of features we'd like to see in the next Nexus.
One rumor that I'd love to hear more about is that Google is working with multiple carriers and handset makers to release its own "exclusive" devices with Ice Cream Sandwich. What's more, these would be in addition to the Nexus Prime.
It's worth pointing out that Google has not identified Ice Cream Sandwich as being on in the same as Android 4.0. It's possible, but perhaps unlikely, that ICS could arrive as a 3.X release.

As you can imagine, the 6990M joins other Radeon HD cards in supporting the company's Eyefinity technology, as well as GPU app acceleration. Let it be known, too, that while the 6990M supplants the popular 6970M as far as performance claims go, AMD tells us the 6970M will still be available for the foreseeable future. Speaking of availability, the 6990M will be offered in the Alienware M18x right alongside NVIDIA's 580M. Additionally, you'll find it packed inside Clevo's P170HM and P150HM.

Hey guys i know some of you have problem with this if you are jailbreaking using iphone 4 (me too) what it does is the jailbreakme.com only put certain pdf file in their server..(yep they just use pdf file to jailbreak your idevice) They might say it works on all devices but hey only focusing on the ipad 2 (coz that the main target of this time jailbreakme) so the solution is..you have to download the pdf file for your version of phone (3gs, 4, ipod 3rd, 4th and so on) and the firmware (4.0, 4.1, 4.3, seems got problem with 4.3.3 on iphone 4 and so on)

So i just have a couple of the pdf file..mainly for iphone 4 (coz im an iphone 4 user) and variety of firmware..so i hope u can try it.

So since i'm on 4.3.1 so ill teach how to use this firmware pdf first..the iphone 4.3.3 might got problem as they prefer u to use the redsn0w for it..for me i just wanna test it out if its work..so it didnt work in 4.3.3 so for iphone 4 4.3.3 user..just go on redsn0w :)

Samsung Galaxy S II vs iPhone 4

Samsung’s Galaxy S II is the current Android king so it’s only natural that it’s being thrown into the ring with the current premium handset of choice for the masses Apple’s iPhone 4.

The full video is embedded below for your viewing pleasure but the gist of it is this the Galaxy S II’s screen is gorgeous with 4.3-inches of bright and colorful pixels although the brightness does seem to come at the expense of accurate color reproduction as shown in a side-by-side comparison in the video.

Build quality is better than the usual Samsung fare which is a good thing considering the premium market they are trying to aim the phone at.

By all accounts though the iPhone 4′s mix of glass and metal still proves to be a winning combination in the quality and feel stakes.

Web browsing speed tests show off the shear power of Samsung’s offering with its dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM helping it throw images onto that huge screen faster than Apple’s iPhone 4 hardware that is by no means a slouch.

We’ll not spoil the video any more than that so be sure to give the full 15 minutes a watch and make your own mind up whether all that power is worth the hassles that come bundled with every Android phone bar Google’s own.

It looks Apple is getting aggressive by releasing iOS updates to quash bugs and kill jailbreak exploits in just two months we have seen iOS 4.3, 4.3.1 and now here is yet another bad news for jailbreakers.

According to BGR sources Apple is gearing up for next iOS release i.e iOS 4.3.2. The release will support iPhones, iPods and iPads and allegedly address security issues, squash couple of bugs and introduce “several enhancements”.

No wonder blocking i0n1c untethered exploit for iOS 4.3.1 is the main motive of the update. We warn all the iPhone users not to update to iOS 4.3.2 at any cost.

Motorola Atrix 4G Laptop Dock

Laptop Dock for Moto's Atrix 4G didn't have multitouch capability, making scrolling a rather old-fashioned affair and considering that a desktop build of Firefox figures prominently into Webtop's capabilities, scrolling is something you'll be doing quite a bit of. Well this is where it gets weird a number of people on xda-developers are discussing the fact that in-store demo units of the Laptop Dock seem to mysteriously have multitouch added in and at least one poster notes that a Motorola rep that visited his local store a while back had multitouch working as well. That means one of three things either these units are physically different hardware, they're running a prerelease firmware upgrade or they've got a feature that was pulled at the last minute, possibly because it didn't work very well. Unfortunately, the latter seems plausible because Motorola has indicated to us that the Laptop Dock's hardware doesn't support multitouch.

No more hotfile, ban for life

For the first time, a group of Hollywood film studios has filed a copyright lawsuit against a cyberlocker.

File-hosting service Hotfile has made a business out of offering a stash box for people to store their pirated movies, the Motion Picture Association of America claims in its suit against Hotfile.

"In less than two years, Hotfile has become one of the 100 most trafficked sites in the world," the MPAA said in a press release issued today. "That is a direct result of the massive digital theft that Hotfile promotes."

According to the MPAA, Hotfile is operated by Florida resident Anton Titov, who was not immediately available for comment.

A growing number of digital-locker services have come under fire lately by copyright owners. Liberty Media Holdings, an adult-film studio, last month also filed a copyright suit against Hotfile. On the music side, EMI, the smallest of the four record labels, is suing MP3tunes.com, a digital locker specializing in the storage of songs.

The cyberlockers are an alternative to BitTorrent file-sharing services and are growing in popularity. With these services, there's no need to download any software. A user logs on to a locker service and watches whatever films or TV shows are stored there.

The MPAA was careful to make the distinction that not all cyberlockers are unlawful. That's important because the Digital Millennium Copyright Act's safe harbor protects Internet service providers as long as they obey some rules. The trade group for the top film studios said Hotfile doesn't come close to qualifying for safe harbor protection.

The service "openly discourages use of its system for personal storage," the MPAA wrote. "Hotfile's business model encourages...users to upload files containing illegal copies of motion pictures and TV shows to its servers and to third-party sites."

According to the MPAA's suit, Hotfile is no free-information advocate. This is straight-up piracy for profit, the trade group said. Hotfile collects revenues by charging a monthly fee.

After months of detailed leaks, early hands-on previews, and numerous executive non-denials, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is finally 100% official.

As for ages now, it'll run Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor with Qualcomm Adreno 205 graphics and display those games on a sizable 4-inch, 854 x 480 LCD, the combination of which Sony says will provide 60 frames per second playback and manage up to 5 hours, 35 minutes of battery life in a single gaming session. Gaming credentials aside, you're looking at a Android smartphone with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, LED flash, stereo speakers, Bluetooth and WiFi functionality baked in.

The phone comes preloaded with a "legendary" PSone game of the undisclosed variety, as well as a bevy of popular Android games including Asphalt 6, The Sims 3 and Tetris. Some games ported from existing smartphone platforms will have bonus content on Xperia Play. Local area multiplayer gaming is a go as you'll be able to host a WiFi hotspot on one device and join the game with another. It's launching in March and will be available on Verizon in early spring.

Stephen Elop in his financial and strategy briefing continuing Nokia's marathon Capital Markets Day just posed an interesting rhetorical question, will Nokia be able to customize everything on Windows Phone 7 in order to differentiate itself? Yes! was Elop's ebullient proclamation though he quickly pulled it back to say that Nokia likely won't make extensive use of this freedom to tailor Microsoft's OS. That's a major shift for Microsoft who forbade HTC from skinning Windows Phone 7 with Sense, something the Taiwanese company would surely have loved to do, and limited it to the introduction of a self-contained Hub. Now Nokia's saying it perhaps exclusively has been given the liberty to play around inside WP7 to its heart's content. We'll see how important that turns out to be whenever Nokia delivers its first device bearing its new smartphone OS. An insider tip tells us the current plan is to introduce such a handset by the end of 2011, potentially based on current hardware. Who's ready for Xbox Live on a future version of the N8?

Black list is corrupted, concerning to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010

In some cases during anti-virus databases update process, in the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 the banner may become red and display the message: "Your computer security is at risk. Black list is corrupted".

Also the message "Black list of key files is corrupted" is displayed in the License manager window. You can open the License manager window by clicking the License link in the lower part of the main application window.

In order to resolve the problem, perform the following actions:

-disable the application's Self-Defence
-make sure you can see hidden files and folders
-delete the file blst2-0607g.xml. By default, the file is located in the folder
-open the main application window
-in the left part of the window click the My Update Center tab
-in the right part of the window click Start Update
-exit from the application
-run the application once again
-enable the application's Self-Defence.

If actions listed above did not help, perform the following:

-click the Start button in the left lower corner of the screen
-go to All programs
-find and select Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010
-select Modify, Repair or Remove
-after wizard started select Repair
-wait until the process is completed
-reboot your computer

If the recommendations given above did not help you to rectify the problem, then re-install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010. In order to do so, uninstall the application and then install the application once again.

If the recommendations described above did not help to resolve the problem, try to activate later (in about an hour).

If the error keeps repeating, create a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support via the My Kaspersky Account service. Descibe your problem in all details.

Microsoft announced months ago that the artist formerly known as Vail now officially known as Windows Home Server 2011 was dropping Drive Extender functionality. Though we were given hope that the feature might be reinstated, the release candidate of WHS2011 went out to testers today. In its place, Microsoft has included a Move Folder Wizard that alerts you when a new hard drive has been added and walks you through formatting and partitioning your new drive. However, partition size is limited to 2TB for it to work with the server backup feature so your massive collection of ripped Blu-rays will require a veritable alphabet of drive letters. Not all the news is bad though, as the dev team has enabled Shadow Copy in the OS to allow data time traveling in case you accidentally delete something.

Google will be holding an event at their Mountain View campus on deck is the tablet optimized version of their mobile operating system, Honeycomb.

The event will give a more in depth look at Android 3.0 and have hands demos to see the real deal in real life. When the Motorola Xoom was announced we were treated to little more than a video demo looping Honeycomb features so there was no direct interaction. With live demos of Honeycomb at this upcoming event though, it’ll be the first time we’ll be able to get a first hand look at the OS doing its thing.

Honeycomb was said to create a fork in the Android OS but recent discoveries in the new SDK preview indicate that it may actually work its way down to smartphones at some point. But for now Google’s focus with Android 3.0 is primarily for tablets. Tablets like the Motorola Xoom and T-Mobile G-Slate which should be coming to us within the next few weeks if we’re lucky.

Google really stepped up their game with this version of the OS and we’re definitely seeing the Duarte influence now. The question is whether or not this will be able to slow the iPad’s momentum. Chances are it won’t this time around as we’re expecting an iPad 2 relatively soon. That said while Apple works on one device, Honeycomb will be found on many tablets, all varying in price and specifications, allowing the user to truly pick the tablet that’s right for them. It took Android a couple of years to dethrone the iPhone but now that it’s more well known, the time frame for Android tablets surpassing the iPad may be shorter.

While we’ve seen a few things about Honeycomb, I wouldn’t be surprised if Google still had something up their sleeves.

Shogun Bros. Chameleon X-1 a gaming mouse you can flip to find twelve buttons and two miniature analog sticks on the bottom. It works as a gamepad sure enough and functions as a one-handed multimedia remote too but is it any good?

Silky soft-touch rubber covers the entire surface excepting the chrome trim leading to a firm, comfortable grip, which doesn't attract dirt nearly as much as the glossy plastic buttons on earlier Logitech mice. Pull off the rear panel under that X-1 logo and more welcome surprises await compartments for a single AA battery and the wireless USB dongle. The mouse comes with an alkaline cell by default but you can actually replace it with a rechargeable unit instead and even juice it up with a mini-USB port underneath the cover. Meanwhile the 2.4GHz dongle is of the pleasantly tiny variety.

The 1600dpi optical sensor isn't bad and three PTFE feet propel the rodent across surfaces. The two analog nubs are oh-so-slightly convex for better grip comfortable and the four face buttons are middling but with a good amount of give. Though Shogun Bros. certainly plays up the gamepad angle, the wireless peripheral actually has a third function too if you hold down the Select button for three seconds rather than Start, it becomes a fully-functional multimedia remote.

The latest version of Cydia won't change that but getting back to where you left off just got a lot easier. The app has merged with Rock Your Phone and now enables you to sign in using a Google or Facebook account. It will then track your purchases and downloads so that they can be easily applied again. Sony Ericsson sues Clearwire for trademark issue

That's Sony Ericsson's logo on the left and Clearwire's on the right and SE thinks they're confusingly similar enough to have filed a federal trademark lawsuit in Virginia. The situation is pretty basic, Sony Ericsson holds trademark registrations on the various iterations of its sphere logos and the company thinks Clearwire is confusing the mobile market with its version and it definitely doesn't want Clearwire to stamp the logo on phones which Clearwire is eventually planning to do, money problems or no. SE's asked the court to forbid Clearwire from using the logo and for a host of monetary damages which seems like a big risk for a company that's having cashflow problems to begin with.

Google's been teasing cloud-based music features in Android since its I/O conference last year and the recent leak of a revamped first-party Music app suggests that the plans haven't evaporated into thin air. GizmoFusion claims that this screen shot comes from a device running Gingerbread clearly showing "Music" as one of the accounts configured in Android's settings which suggests that the system will be pretty deeply integrated to sync your tracks just as it would your Twitter updates, your Facebook friends or your calendar entries. This isn't one of the new features in that Android 2.4 build.

iPad 2 and iPhone 5 is shifting to Qualcomm chipsets

I've been hearing a ton of rumors about what direction Apple's next set of products will take and when they'll be available but now we've got some concrete information from reliable sources which should make the path a little clearer and that includes info on the next iPad, the iPhone 5, the second iteration of the new Apple TV, and a big change coming for all of the company's mobile products.

Right now everyone is obviously buzzing about the Verizon iPhone 4. What people aren't talking about (yet) is the fact the device will be using a Qualcomm chipset for its CDMA radio (with no GSM capabilities) as opposed to the Infineon versions seen in the GSM iPhone 4. This isn't much of a surprise by itself but it paves the way for a major shift from Apple. But first a little bit of a timeline.

Apparently iPad2 seems likely will land around April. From what I've been told, the thinner, sleeker tablet will sport a new screen technology that is akin to the iPhone 4's Retina Display and will be "super high resolution". The device will remain at 10 inches but will now feature both front and rear cameras and an SD slot.

The new iPad will feature a dual GSM / CDMA chipset produced by Qualcomm and will mark Apple's shift away from Infineon as its chipset maker to Qualcomm for all of its mobile devices. It's not clear if the chipset being used will be based on the company's EV-DO / HSPA Gobi variety or an entirely new design. Presumably the strength of the new dual-mode chipset is that it will allow both Verizon and AT&T to offer the iPad simultaneously.

But all of these moves are leading up to the iPhone 5 a completely redesigned handset is on track for a summer launch. Right now the device is being tested discreetly by senior staff at Apple. The new device will be a total rethink from a design standpoint and will be running atop Apple's new A5 CPU (a Cortex A9-based, multi-core chip). This device, like the iPad 2, will feature a Qualcomm chipset that does triple duty as the CDMA / GSM / UMTS baseband processor.

Apple is at work on the second generation of its redesigned Apple TV which will include that new A5 processor. The CPU is said to be blazingly fast, cranking out 1080p video. It's likely that the A5 will make it into the iPad 2. Besides the surprise of an SD slot on the iPad, it all sounds fairly routine. It's the complete move away from Infineon to Qualcomm that's truly notable marking one of the biggest shifts in suppliers and technology since the advent of the original iPhone.

This prototype presented by Windows Phone Hacker features some fun changes that make it feel more like your beloved handheld gaming console and less like your dated Windows Mobile Pocket PC including a startup GIF animation of the original GameBoy Advance boot screen, custom software that keeps the OS in landscape mode and custom notifications and ringtones from the Mario games. Also included is PocketGBA emulator for playing GameBoy Advance ROMs on the phone itself. Of course this is just the beginning of the project we look forward to seeing a version where the buttons work.

Skype celebrated with a blog post announcing the deal and reaffirms that its teams will be "working together... to make our mobile video products even better." Geohot wins round one, judge declines to rule on SCEA restraining order

By now we all know that Sony filed a lawsuit against Geohot and fail0verflow for their distribution of PS3 jailbreak firmware and asked the court for a temporary restraining order (TRO) to stop said distribution of the offending code. Well according to Geohot, the court denied declined to rule on Sony's motion earlier today. Geohot has reposted the code online, so it seems safe to say that the TRO is back for now and the jailbreak can once again roam the internet unencumbered by any legal decrees. The decision while favorable to the defendants has little effect on the outcome of the litigation itself, so Hotz and company aren't out of the woods just yet. The judge declined to rule on the TRO. Instead she tabled the TRO issue because she was not satisfied that the Northern District of California has jurisdiction to rule on the matter because Geohot hacked the PS3 in New Jersey.

TM Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) offering will include 22 channels to be bundled in their triple-play offering under their high-speed broadband (HSBB).

TM has signed up with over 30 providers to date and plans to add more providers. The 22 channels are a combination of lifestlye channels. The channels will include six local free-to-air channels which are TV1, TV2, TV3, ntv7, 8tv, and TV9.

Other channels include Travel Channel International, Star Chinese Movies 2, FTV HD, and Channel [V] Taiwan. In addition the IPTV service will also carry exclusive interactive channels such as Malaysian History, Malaysian Football, Tourism and Games.

IPTV is something where the television content can be delivered interactively to our house by using the broadband connection. One of the reasons are the lack of the attractive contents that Astro can provide to its customers such as the EPL which is its cash cow. Currently Astro holds the exclusive broadcast rights of EPL for 2007 to 2010 seasons. Who knows maybe TM will be the next one for 2010 to 2013 seasons since they are very serious in football thing.

TM's highly-anticipated HSBB, which is touted to give users download speeds of up to 10 megabytes per second. The service will be bundled in a triple-play package, which will include high speed internet access, IPTV and voice-over-Internet protocol (VoIP).

Trials have been conducted at Bangsar, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam. Expected to be rolled out to Kepong, Batu, Wangsa Maju, Segambut, Titiwangsa, Cheras, Seputih (Kuala Lumpur), Petaling Jaya, Serdang, Puchong, Putrajaya, Damansara, Cyberjaya, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Klang, Selayang, Ampang, Bandar Tun Razak, Sungai Besi, Gombak and Kajang.

Sony sues Geohot over PS3 jailbreak

Geohot has updated his site again telling people that Sony has filed lawsuits against both him and the fail0verflow german team for jailbreaking PS 3 and allowing packages to be installed.

For those who don't know, Geohot was able to jailbreak PS 3 custom firmware 3.55 couple of days back with Homebrew thanks to the help of fail0verflow team, this opened the way to install custom packages.

Important part of the filled lawsuits follows as:

Audiovox is apparently finally ready to offer one for sale with its AVDBR1, seen here skulking about the halls of CES. Due in the spring with an MSRP of $349.99, it can be installed under the seat or in a storage compartment and is even BD-Live compatible with optional WiFi upgrade, available after a firmware update arrives later this year. Of course, even if you like video in the car usually for the kids in the backseat there's plenty of other ways to get it including digital copies that can be activated on your phone, tablet or laptop, or DVDs included in the combo packs most major releases have. Add to this the fact that mobile screens are generally too small to make a big difference with HD and there's plenty of reasons to be skeptical but if you are on a long road trip with only the Blu-ray copy of Black Dynamite to keep you company, you'll be glad you opted for the AVDBR1.

How To: Jailbreak PS3 on 3.55 only

STEP 1: Plug a USB stick into your computer
STEP 2: Create a folder in the root of the USB stick called PS3

3D technology's inevitable race to the bottom officially kicked off today with ViewSonic's announcement of its new ViewFun line. The Palm 3D HD was the priciest item shared thanks to its ability to record full HD 1080p in 3D or 2D at 60fps. Some of its other notable features include a rechargeable Li-ion battery, an SD slot for expandable storage and a 3.2-inch LCD screen which uses parallax technology to display 3D video without wearing glasses. If you can't afford to spend $250, ViewSonic also announced the ViewFun 3D Pocket, ViewFun 3D PocketHD and ViewFun 3D Snap Pocket camcorders for $149, $179, and $199. The thing is the ViewFun 3D PocketHD isn't really new, and I still remember when it was called the 3DV5 earlier this year, so unless you're desperate to spend under $180 on a 3D camcorder.

Nah, you aren't out of the loop these guys were just founded last year and now they're hoping to make a literal splash in the desert with their first full range of weatherproof LCD TVs. Designed to be used primarily outdoors this new range of fully-sealed 1080p HDTVs is made up of sets from 32- to 55-inches. Each one has nary a vent nor filter enabling it resist dust, debris and even water. In fact, each one sports the highest waterproof (IP) and dust proof (NEMA) rating available enabling them to withstand a good pressure washing and the occasional dip in the pool. Price? don't ask. I've wondering when it's going to enter Malaysian market? maybe not.

Motorola Xoom definitely running Honeycomb. While this sleek little device is still running a very early build of Honeycomb. The device was looping demo videos of the Honeycomb UI, but a little investigation on our part revealed a bare bones homescreen. Nothing more to says yet but it's also going to be awesome for the tablet industry.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc first with the 2.4?

We're still coming down from the euphoria of introduction but Tweakers.net claims that Google's not entirely passing the torch to Honeycomb just yet beforehand, there's apparently another Gingerbread build in the cards. Having played with some sort of cobbled-together Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc with a 2.4 build, the site says that we can expect an incremental build that seems to feature miscellaneous stuff Google might not have had time to include in 2.3 random things like a new animation when deleting icons off the home screen to much bigger features like visible video calling hooks. Unfortunately, said hooks didn't seem to be tied to any video calling enabled Google Talk client, but considering how early this build seems to be, there's reason to believe they'll add it in by launch time. It's an open question when this is coming or to what devices and when you think about Eclair's progression from 2.0 to 2.1, it could happen sooner than you expect.

Here at CES, the aforesaid outfit has just launched the cans titled Soul by Ludacris. As you'd expect, they look mildly similar to the Beats headphone range that has seemingly taken the world by storm and according to the release after the break, Luda was tightly involved in the construction of them. The Soul brand is debuting with five models in the line, the SL300 noise-cancelling headphones, on-ear SL150 / SL100 models and the SE99 / SE48 earbuds. The whole crew is tweaked to emit fairly intense bass ("without sacrificing the clarity of mids and highs," mind you) and while no pricing details are being shared just yet.

HP upgrade to Sandy Bridge

No surprises here, HP just updated a bunch of its consumer laptops here at CES, and the biggest change is that the Envy 17 and Pavilion dv6 and dv7 have been kicked over to Intel's Sandy Bridge second-gen Core processors. In addition to the new chips, the Envy 17 is getting HP CoolSense cooling and switchable AMD Radeon 6850M graphics with support for Intel Wireless Display pricing and availability haven't been determined yet, but I wouldn't expect it to be cheap. On the other hand, the dv6 and dv7 are mostly the same apart from the processor bump, and they'll be available on January 9th.

More blu-ray in 3D from Disney for 2011

Even though Blu-ray 3D officially hit the streets in 2010, actually finding any discs available at retail was easier said than done, but that may be turning around this year starting with Disney announcing it plans "at least 15" releases this year. Recent 3D hits like Tron: Legacy and Tangled @ Rapunzel will be available at retail in 3D day-and-date with the 2D DVD & Blu-ray releases, with conversions of classics like The Lion King and Beauty in the Beast also in the works. Like it or not, the consistent box office success means there is more 3D than ever on the way, and it won't be any different at home. Sharp's tablet? Really?

We've already heard that Sharp was planning to bring its Galapagos tablets/e-readers to the US, and it looks like they've now crossed one key hurdle on that path or one of the tablets has, at least. The 10.8-inch EB-WX1GJ "media tablet" recently passed through the FCC, where it posed for the camera, went through the usual battery of tests, and picked out a nice spot for an FCC label. Not much in the way of surprises at this point, but the device's user manual does also mention the 5.5-inch EB-W51GJ model, so it may well be following it's larger counterpart through the FCC, if it hasn't already. There also happens to be a rather large technology trade show happening this week, which seems like an ideal opportunity for Sharp to divulge some additional details.

iHome for iPad, iPhone and iPod in CES 2011

It just wouldn't be CES without a gaggle of new products from iHome. Kicking things off in this year's line of audio-related gadgetry from the company is the iDM12, a rechargeable portable Bluetooth speaker that's described as something like a mini-soundbar. It'll stream tunes from any Bluetooth-equipped phone or PMP, but naturally, it's being aimed at iPad, iPhone and iPod owners. Moving right along, there's the iDM15 rechargeable portable BT speakers. You'll find two diminutive speakers that can stream in a similar fashion as the iDM12, but with the addition of speakerphone support. Lastly, the iDM70 'Sound Sleeve' is both a protective shell and a speaker setup for your iPad; it relies on rechargeable NXT flat speakers to improve the audio experience, but mum's the word on price. You'll find these guys, as well as the iD9, iD28 and iD85, on sale later this year.

HTC EVO Shift 4G reveal in CES 2011

QWERTY fans, rejoice: at this point, I've pretty sure this thing's getting announced this week, seeing how it's out and about in retail packaging. Here's Sprint's EVO Shift 4G in all its in-the-wild glory and yes, it turns out it's definitely called the EVO Shift 4G. As a refresher, this phone's shaping up to be the EVO 4G's keyboard-equipped cousin, albeit with a lower-res camera (5 megapixels), a smaller display, and seemingly no front camera. For some, that could be an acceptable tradeoff and it's conceivable that we'll see it on sale within a few days considering the flurry of retail leaks we've witnessed.

Vizio reveals tablet and phone

Vizio made its name by packing high end features into value-priced HDTVs and it's taking that mentality to new areas, revealing the tablet spotted in last night's Rose Bowl ad as the 8-inch Via Tablet and a 4-inch Via Phone. Both will be running Android and didn't spill any OS details, the combination of confirmed Market access and odd button configuration has us thinking Honeycomb is in the works when they are released this summer. The only Via Phone details mentioned are screen size and its front and 5MP rear cameras, while the tablet promises a "high resolution" screen, WiFi, three speakers, HDMI out and front facing camera -- but no cellular service.

Expect TV manufacturers to be on their toes as well, since Vizio says it will bring 3DTVs to market that start at less than $300. The new mobile products will also tie into its TV business through the Via Plus internet service, which sounds a lot like Samsung Apps by allowing access to Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, Android market access (to go along with its new Google TVs) and even a new Vizio On Demand movie services across all of its devices. We'll temper our excitement slightly remembering the new TVs and iPhone app shown off last year that never quite made it to shelves.

Unfortunately, only two packs are available at the moment—English to Spanish, and Spanish to English—so the selection is extremely limited. Other undisclosed languages are in the works.

I tested Word Lens' ability to translate English into Spanish by pointing my iPhone 3GS' camera at a number of items around my work area. Directing the lens toward a web on-screen word flicker between English and Spanish as the app processed information—and it wouldn't stop. But when I pointed it at the title on the book's spine it translated near-instantaneously. It appears that the less visual information the app processes, the better and faster the translation; it seemed to have been "distracted" by the title's layout, bullet points, and other call-outs on the cover. Pressing and holding the eyeball icon (located in the toolbar positioned at the bottom of the screen) lets you switch to the non-translated text, which may assist users in learning the language. Word Lens didn't recognize handwriting or stylized fonts in my tests.

Samsung Galaxy Player

We Malaysians may not see it, but Samsung's 3.2-inch Galaxy Player is about to call Europe home, as following French presales the PMP has now appeared at Amazon UK. There, it's sporting a tentative January 7th release date and a pair of capacities and prices, with a modest £150 (about $234) nabbing you 8GB of storage and £180 (roughly $280) fully doubling that capacity to 16GB. Apple's iPod touch is the obvious comparison here, and it's shaping up to be a valid one -- while there's no Retina Display to be had here, it's hard to sneeze at the real Android Market and some decent codec (MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC, WMA, OGG, AMR, MPEG4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, and Xvid) support.

HTC Thunderbolt 4G 8MP & 5MP front facing cam

The Thunderbolt will supposedly run a dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 at 1.2GHz, which should put it near the top of smartphone performance rankings, even without software fully taking advantage of the second core. We're also very interested in the claim that the phone will support storage expansion up to 128GB. Breaking the 32GB barrier requires the use of SDXC cards, making this the first smartphone to support the standard. Right now you can't find SDXC cards larger than 64GB, but a little future-proofing never hurt anyone.

Also notable among the specifications, the leaked image claims that the Thunderbolt's front camera will be a full five megapixels, accompanying the rear eight-megapixel sensor. If true, that would make for hardware capable of 720p video calls, assuming that the processor and wireless connection can keep up.

The rest of the specs are nothing mind-blowing, confirming a lot of what we both heard and just expected of the phone. It should run Android 2.3, sport that kickstand we looked at, and have 16GB of internal flash storage. Even if not every one of these claims check out, the Thunderbolt still looks like it will be one of the leading devices to emerge from the CES.

iPhone : Goodbye AT&T, Welcome Verizon

In comes 2011 and with it the expected debut of the Verizon iPhone 4. As numerous rumors point to a March release date (just ahead of the iPad 2), it comes as no surprise that 3rd party accessories manufacturers are prepping for its impending release.

Quoting anonymous sources, Digitimes reports that there is a shipment goal of 5 million to 6 million CDMA iPhones to be shipped to North America and Asia Pacific in the first three months of next year. Unlike AT&T’s GSM cellular network, Verizon’s network is CDMA.

Consumers are on board, too. There’s tremendous pent-up demand for a Verizon version of the iPhone, with one survey showing that nearly half of AT&T iPhone users would consider switching to a Verizon version.

If the Verizon iPhone arrives, it won’t be a moment too soon. There have been numerous complaints about AT&T’s coverage, supported by a Consumer Reports survey showing AT&T running dead last in consumer satisfaction.

In addition to Verizon’s perceived reliability advantage, the company is also further along with its 4G LTE network, promising faster connectivity. Perhaps the new iPhone will have this technology built in. The only possibility that would be a surprise at this point is if Apple doesn’t release an iPhone on Verizon next quarter.

Kinect + FAAST = World of Warcraft

The hack is called the “Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit, (FAAST) and it uses full-body motion control. Gamer can not only wield a sword or axe to take out a feisty orc, but they can also cast spells, making it nirvana for those who secretly love to dress up to play their favorite game. And it’s only a matter of time before someone figures out a way to use their light saber collection to battle someone online.

Many gamers may be making their New Year’s Resolution to leave time-consuming MMOs behind in favor of exercise, but these programmers are shown that you can do both, using the Kinect as an input device for World of Warcraft.

In an extremely shocking report, is it now clear that Facebook has topped Google as the most visited site of 2010. This is very shocking to beat Google because it is a search engine, and many people visit it to search up their topics almost everyday. Is it possible that social networking has topped the #1 search engine?

In 2010, Facebook has accumulated some 8.93% of the site visits online, but Google only accumulated 7.19% followed by the other search engine site Yahoo with 3.52%. So if you do combine Yahoo and Google, the percentage does beat Facebook.

In 2009, Facebook has only reached third place on the top sites visited charts, but it was assumed that Facebook did try to move up one place this year, but many didn't expect to hit the top of the charts. In other news, Facebook has also been the most searched for in phrases or terms. Will Facebook still be the most visited in 2011?

3G with bootloader 5.8 The procedure is fairly straightforward, however we would not recommend novice users to try this. We will also highly recommend you to backup everything on your device before following the procedure. Proceed at your own risk only.

Here's what you need:

* Jailbroken iPhone 3G
* Fuzzyband installed via Cydia
* afc2add installed via Cydia
* i-FunBox (for Windows) or DiskAid (for Mac)
* Certificate to use with Fuzzyband.

All what you have to do is follow my steps :

STEP 1 : First download the required file ICE2-06.15.00.cert from here.

STEP 2 : After that install Fuzzyband from Cydia and launch the app

STEP 3 : Connect your iPhone 3G to PC using USB cable

STEP 4 : Launch i-FunBox and select file then navigate to Applications/Fuzzyband.app, right-click and then select Copy from PC.

STEP 5 : Select the ICE2-06.15.00.cert file you downloaded earlier and then copy it to this location: Applications/Fuzzyband.app.

STEP 6 : Now simply disconnect your iPhone from your computer and start Fuzzyband app (which you previously installed using Cydia) on your iPhone.

STEP 7 : In Fuzzyband, you will now see your current version of Baseband, (which should still be 06.15.00). But now you will have the option to downgrade it to version 05.13.xx.

That's it you are done...Once you have downgraded, Go to Settings –> About, and scroll down to check your Baseband which should now read 05.13.xx (which is unlockable via Ultrasn0w). You can now also update or restore any firmware without iTunes throwing errors.

This list including all genre because I don't want to end up all horror movie in top 5. I pick the movie by their genre: meaning best horror, best love story, best comedy and so on. Just base on what I think the best in the industry. For those Malaysian's movie haters, you should realize there's a good movie in Malaysia. Give this movies a chance then you'll decide yourself.

1. Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah (Comedy/Horror)

Husin has been working in Singapore for some time and decides to return to his hometown, Kampung Pisang. Upon returning, he feels that his neighbour Kak Limah is strange as she does not speak nor sleep. He then tells patrons at Pak Jabit's coffee shop that Kak Limah might be a ghost. Pak Abu decides they should investigate further but when they go to her house, she is already a rotting corpse! However, things get more interesting when the village is haunted by a strange occurrences, despite the burial of Kak Limah.

2. Mantra (Horror/Thriller)

This story starts in a cemetery where Muzir is betrayed by Hasbi who wins over Muzir's wife. Hasbi is to be jailed for life. In prison, Muzir desires revenge, so he learns black magic from a dying warden who helps him escape by erasing the holy words that are emblazoned all around. Shot in the infamous Pudu Jail.

3. Magika (Musical/Fantasy)

"Magika" tells of Ayu and Malik, two siblings who are in mourning after the death of their mother. Malik feels guilty as he thinks he caused their mother's death. One evening, after a fight with his sister, Malik goes walking in the woods until he gets lost in a magical world called Magika. The Nenek Kebayan and her follower Awang Kenit capture Malik to be the main ingredient of their youthful herbal medicine that can only be made using children's tears. Ayu tries to save her brother but also gets trapped in Magika. There, Ayu and Malik meet Malay mythical characters such as Badang, Naga Tasik Chini, Puteri Bunian, and many more.

4. Adnan Sempit (Comedy)

Known as Nan Sempit by his friends, Adnan (Shaheizy Sam) is an orphan and a 'mat rempit' who decides to move to the big city in Kuala Lumpur after being treated unfairly by his aunt's family. During his stay in KL, Adnan lives with his elder brother Macha (Cat Farish) and works as a dispatch guy at a private company. He develops a friendly relationship with his boss, Nadia (Intan Ladyana) who comes from a very wealthy family. Soon, their relationship turns sour when an argument breaks open between Adnan and Zack.

5. Lagenda Budak Setan (Romantic/Drama)

Kasyah is a troublemaker in high school but things change when he meets Ayu and she accepts him. However, Kasyah has to go to a village to complete his thesis which forces him to part with Ayu. Hye guys, lately I'm just busy and no time to create a new entry but now I want to try post my own review so that you can get on and follow what I'm being researching in this while.

WHAT IS TWITTER?

Twitter is a site that allows you to post one-line messages about what you’re currently doing via the web interface, IM, or SMS. You can limit who sees the messages to people you’ve explicitly added to your friends list, or you can make the messages public.What Twitter does, in a simple and brilliant way, is to merge a number of interesting trends in social software usage personal blogging, lightweight presence indicators, and IM status messages into a fascinating blend of ephemerality and permanence, public and private.

1. Twitter (FREE)

Twitter purchased Tweetie to build an official version of Twitter for the iPhone and iPod Touch. That product is now in the app store, called just ‘Twitter’.

What does the application do? Aside from being a normal Twitter client, it is designed to provide a Twitter experience for non-Twitter users, opening up Twitter to a whole host of new potential users.

Of course, it shares quite a bit with the venerable Tweetie (nearly a 100% port), but has been changed to help new people discover, and then join Twitter. The best parts of Tweetie (pull down to refresh) have been combined with a new front-end layer that helps new users get acquainted with Twitter.

If you recall, that was the original goal that Twitter had in developing its own its own applications to remove the confusion the people had attempting to play with Twitter on their mobile devices, and to help people get started.

2. Osfoora ($2.99) (Recommended)

Over time I have used many (many, many) different Twitter apps, in hopes of finding the one great catch all app for Twitter, and Osfoora comes close to becoming that app for me. It seems that some of the newer Twitter apps have the advantage of being built to encompass how much Twitter is evolving as a social media format.

The layout of Osfoora is straight forward and very clean. Initially it opens to a home screen from where you decide your destination next. The icons and text are very well presented in this app and it’s one that you really end up continuously opening, just because you can.

You can also choose between two themes, light and dark. I prefer the light theme but a lot of users like the dark look as well. I think it provides a balance without overdoing it and ruining the UI.

Osfoora boasts a lot of the features we’ve come to expect from a good Twitter client. It supports pull down to refresh, lists, uploading pics and videos, conversation views, read it later, search (nearby, users, keywords), now playing, link shorteners, hashtags, and much more. Another feature I like is the Follow Friday feature. It allows you to set up follow Fridays in a much easier way than editing and adding people manually. You can choose how many people you’d like it to post from your friends list. It’s definitely a neat feature a lot of users may enjoy using over entering their Follow Fridays manually.

Nearby Tweets also has a cool add-in I haven’t seen many Twitter clients implement. Given I’m not a huge user of nearby, maybe some do, but I’ve never noticed it. Osfoora has added in a list view in addition to the map view. This seems a lot easier to browse through than looking at a map and tapping individual bubbles to read tweets. It’s minor, but shows the developer really put a lot of thought into user experience.

Profile viewing is also similar to a lot of other popular Twitter clients. It’s got basic user profile information, follow information, list support, block user, and report as spam access. Overall, I feel comfortable saying Osfoora will stay in my iPhone dock until something better comes along.

3. TweetDeck (FREE)

When you open up TweetDeck you’ll first need to set up all your accounts. If you have previously set up the desktop client and you decided to set up a TweetDeck user account all you’ll have to do is log into that account and it will set up all your “Columns” automatically. If you haven’t already set it up though “Columns” are the way that TweetDeck is organized. You can have as many of them as you want and they will who you things like all of your “Friends” messages, all of your direct messages. You can even set up columns to show results from Twitter searches.

The interface of this app is a lot like the desktop client. The default view shows your columns shrunk down just a little bit and allows you to flick through them quickly and easily. Touching any column will zoom in on it and allow you to interact with it. While interacting with a column you can still scroll to other columns by flicking but you don’t see quite as much information around it.

The menu at the bottom of the screen gives you several options. From here you can quickly check which columns have new updates and go straight to them. Right next to the “Updates” button is a refresh button to manually refresh and then a button that allows you to either switch to Columns view or add a new column depending on whether or not you are already in Columns view.

The “Settings” tab will take you to a screen that has quite a few customization options.As with most Twitter clients you can enter in your credentials to automatically create shortened URL’s for your posts and track them. Some of the other more useful options include the ability to switch between a light and dark theme, geotag settings and the option to use the new retweet style by default or to ask you every time which one to use.

The big advantage of TweetDeck is that if you are constantly on Twitter at home or at work and want to take it with you when you leave you won’t have to worry about rereading the same information. This is because the interface of the iPhone app is exactly the same as the Desktop app. You will have the same columns to view and it will even show the same messages as unread.

While a lot of the paid apps are good, there is a good chance that TweetDeck might have everything you’re looking for in this app. And since it’s a free download, it can’t hurt to at least give it a try right? I have actually talked with several people about Twitter apps and some of them prefer this one to some of the more popular paid apps.

Sandy Bridge launch in 2011

What is Sandy Bridge?

Sandy Bridge is the codename for the processor microarchitecture developed by Intel as the successor to Nehalem. Development began in 2005. Sandy Bridge uses the same 32 nm manufacturing process as Westmere.

It is set to be announced on 5th January during Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011, after which the first batch of mainstream processors will be launched.

Hey ya'll, we covered a couple of motherboard previews based on Sandy Bridge processors by now alright. One name still missing is MSI, recently they as well submitted their P67 based motherboard for a preview, and once launched, a review.

So as you guys know early January 2011 Intel is to launch Sandy Bridge based processors. New Intel processors always comes with a new motherboard chipset to support them. The P series motherboard chipsets (codename Cougar point) are performance series without any integrated graphics connectivity, the H series of course vice versa.

In today's article we'll show you a new offering from MSI as we'll preview their upcoming P67A-GD65 Sandy bridge ready motherboard. Now since the processors and chipset itself are still under NDA we can not disclose nor discuss them.

Few minutes ago, a new mix-up between iPhone dev-team and sbingner, has been done to allow you to activate your iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G without using original SIM or Hactivation. Thanks to sbingner's new tool which called SAM (Subscriber Artificial Module) and redsn0w 0.9.6b6. Moreover this mix-up has fixed the battery consuming after unlocking iPhone 3GS/3G with ultrasn0w 1.2. Let's check out how use this package after the jump.

STEP 1: Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b6 for Windows and Mac, (Links at the end)

STEP 2: For iPhone 3GS/3G users follow our previous guide posted here, for other devices follow this guide, (But be sure you are using Redsn0w 0.9.6b6)

STEP 3: After you finish jailbreaking your device, start Cydia and add http://repo.bingner.com repository.

STEP 4: Then install “SAM” and “SAMPrefs”.

Fix iPhone 3GS/3G Battery Drain & Over Heat After Unlock With Ultrasn0w 1.2

The newly released ultrasn0w 1.2 which unlocked the iPhone 3GS/3G running iOS 4.2.1 by flashing the iPad baseband 06.15.00 using Redsn0w 0.9.6b5 or PwnageTool 4.1.3, has caused two major issues for many iPhone 3GS/3G users, ultrasn0w 1.2 has led to aggressive battery drainage, in addition, iPhone becoming excessively hot. Sherif Hashim, one of the hackers behind ultrasn0w has addressed these issues, let's check out them after the jump.

A) 1st Solution: try to activate the phone using the official sim if u have it (even if the sim itself is old and not working) , or borrow it from a friend if it's possible, by any means, try to have an access to one and use it

B) 2nd Solution: if A is not feasible, u can install SBsettings from featured cydia packages and turn wifi and data off when u r not using it (shuts down both 3g and edge) , till C is done

C) 3rd Solution: there is a very nice module being worked on by a trusted jailbreak app dev, namely @sbingner , which ll resolve that issue for those having it, the details of which shouldn't be disclosed until he finishes his awesome work, till then, either use A or B to resolve the issue if it exists for you

Compilcated unlocking step, damn

Ultra-recycle

Today we’re pleased to announce our free carrier unlock for iPhone3G/3GS owners with a baseband later than 05.13.04. The unlock for that baseband exploited the AT+XAPP command, thanks to a crash initially discovered by @sherif_hashim (@Oranav also found this crash). So what hole are we exploiting today, since Apple closed that AT+XAPP hole? Well, we’re exploiting the exact same hole!

It turns out that the very first iPad firmware 3.2.2 has baseband version 06.15.00 still vulnerable to AT+XAPP. The iPad baseband is built for the exact same baseband chip as the iPhone3G/3GS — they’re fully compatible! Some of us have been running 06.15 for weeks now on our iPhones in preparation for this release. (And some have known about this possibility of 06.15 on the iPhones for a while — kudos to @w1kedZ and @DHowett for keeping it hush!)

SIMPLIFIED ROUTE #1 (redsn0w for OSX + Windows):

1. Read and fully understand the warning below.
2. If you have an old-bootrom 3GS and are already unlockable but want to get to 4.2.1, please wait til we release an “unofficial” bundle for you. Read no further.
3. Use redsn0w (see update #2) for OSX or Windows. Enable the “Install iPad baseband” option and accept the warning.
4. When the redsn0w ramdisk is finished, install ultrasn0w via Cydia.
5. Enjoy!

4. Download this IPSW
5. Run PwnageTool to create a custom 4.1 IPSW. Tell it you want to use the iPad baseband you just downloaded. Restore to this custom IPSW.
6. Install ultrasn0w through Cydia
7. Enjoy!

FULL VERSION:

Since 06.15 is a higher version than 05.14 or 05.15 (where AT+XAPP is gone), anyone stuck at those versions can simply upgrade to 06.15 to unlock again! Luckily for us, Apple *still* provides the iPad FW 3.2.2 with this vulnerable baseband right from their own servers. (Grab it now, before they take it down!)

We’ve been busy updating both PwnageTool and redsn0w to make the baseband update as seamless as possible.

1. First up is “PwnageTool 4.1.3 Unlock Edition”. It has a special dialog box which will ask you if you want to update to the iPad baseband. You must already have the iPad 3.2.2 IPSW on your computer (see the above link)….so just point PwnageTool at it (or let it find it on its own if you’re in “simple” mode).
2. Directly after PwnageTool 4.1.3 is available, the official ultrasn0w repo http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com will be updated with ultrasn0w 1.2, which covers iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 and iPhone 3G/3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and now 06.15.00.
3. Finally, we’ll release an update to redsn0w today for those without Macs and can’t run PwnageTool. The new redsn0w will give you the option to update your baseband to 06.15 too.

WARNING — YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES OF UPDATING TO 06.15.

1. There is no way to come back down from 06.15, and there’s no hiding the baseband version from Apple. You’ll be voiding your warranty in a very obvious way.
2. If some future baseband comes out with a critical fix, you won’t be able to update to it if it remains down in the 05.xx sequence (then again, you wouldn’t update to it if you wanted to keep your unlock anyway).
3. Starting with FW 4.2.1 if you have 06.15 on your iPhone you won’t ever be able to restore to stock firmware (it will fail). You’ll need to only restore to custom IPSWs (then again, if you’re unlocker you should already be doing that).

Certainly don’t update to 06.15 if you don’t need to! Only do this if you need the unlock and you’re stuck on 05.14 or 05.15, and you’re willing to assume the above risks.

This PwnageTool also contains a 4.2.1 bundle for iPhone3G owners…for all else, it’s still only 4.1. If you have an iPhone3GS with an old bootrom, use redsn0w for an untethered 4.2.1 jailbreak (it can now install the iPad baseband too). For all other devices, the 4.2.1 jailbreak is tethered only (use redsn0w for it), until @comex can work some untethering magic.

Update #1: There’s an error in the bundle for the iPhone3GS 4.1 that prevents the new baseband from being used. If you know your way around OSX, please download the fixed bundle, and unzip it if Safari hasn’t already done so. Then “Show Package Contents” of PwnageTool.app, navigate to Contents->Resources->FirmwareBundles and drop it there. Otherwise, please wait for the updated PwnageTool, or the OSX version of redsn0w coming soon.

Update #2: The new redsn0w 0.9.6beta5 is out. It gives both Windows and OSX users the ability to flash the iPad 06.15 baseband on iPhone3G or iPhone3GS. It fetches the baseband files directly from Apple for now (the only IPSW you ever point it at is the stock IPSW for the FW on your iPhone right now). There may be a long delay while it’s doing this (their servers are currently getting pounded).

How to jailbreak 4.2.1 using redsn0w

For those of you who don’t know, Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 is based on Geohot’s Limera1n bootrom exploit which has already pwned all current iOS devices for life. The only problem is that it is a tethered jailbreak, which means you will have to boot it into a “jailbroken state” on every reboot. This so called tethered or semi-tethered jailbreak condition in Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 however only applies to the new devices like: iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch 2G (MC Model), iPod touch 3G and the iPod touch 4G. Old devices like iPhone 3GS (old bootrom), iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (Non-MC Model) can be jailbroken-untethered right now using this latest version of Redsn0w. So until and unless Comex of Spirit and JailbreakMe fame comes up with another untethered hack for iOS 4.2.1, the jailbreak we get for the newer devices will be tethered (or semi-tethered).

NOTE: Those of you who rely on a carrier unlock MUST STAY AWAY from Redsn0w and iOS 4.2.1.

Follow the step by step instructions posted below to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 with Redsn0w 0.9.6b4:

Step 1: Download iOS 4.2.1 for your version of iOS device.

Step 2: Update/Restore to iOS 4.2.1 firmware using the IPSW file you just downloaded via iTunes 10.1.

Step 3: Start Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 and point it to iOS 4.2.1 firmware to proceed with the jailbreak.

Step 4: Now select “Install Cydia” and click “Next”. Optionally (if available), you can also select any other option you like.

Step 5: Now make sure your device is both OFF and PLUGGED IN to the computer before you click “Next”.

At this stage you will be presented with a screen where you will have to quickly hold “Power” button and then while holding the “Power” button, you will now have to hold “Home” button too. Now after few seconds release “Power” button but keep holding “Home” button until installation begins.

Step 6: Sit back and enjoy while redsn0w will do all the rest for you. Once done, your iPhone or iPod touch will restart automatically and you will find it jailbroken on the latest iOS 4.2.1 firmware.

For iPhone 4, 3GS (New Bootrom), iPod touch 4G / 3G / 2G, iPad ONLY:
Step 7: Now from here onwards, whenever you want to do anything related to jailbreak like SSHing into your device, or running Cydia, you must first run your device in the so called “jailbroken state” on every reboot by using “Just boot tethered right now” option in Redsn0w.

Unlockers Beware, Apple Has Put BB Requirement for iOS 4.2.1 Update

Thanks to Semaphore (creator of tiny umbrella) for this information:

It was possible to update from 4.0/4.0.1 to 4.1 while using TinyUmbrella to restore your iPhone 4 to the latest iOS without upgrading your baseband – therefore you could still use ultrasn0w to unlock. But that fun-ride is over… at least for now.

It seems that Apple has decided to put a baseband requirement on iOS. So at this point, if you are using Saurik’s server or tiny umbrella and trying to restore 4.2.1 on an iPhone 4, you will end up in recovery mode and tiny umbrella will not be able to pull you out of recovery.

In this case, you will have to restore 4.1 again or you will have to restore 4.2.1 stock and be tether jailbroken. (Of course, I recommend 4.1 and not bothering with 4.2.1 at all). If you are an unlocker, this is a no brainer. Do not update to 4.2.1 even to test it at this point.

ManuNg has released a neat program called PS3WIN, to help manage your collection of PS3 games on your PC, and it even supports FTP to your Jailbroken PS3 Console, even tho it is in French, most people can manage thru the app. to make good usage of it!

I offer a tool to manage the list of PS3 games locally and on a PS3 (via FTP).

- You can specify multiple directories containing games
- The search for a list of games on a PS3 FTP
- It retrieves the image, the id, name, file date, the minimum OS version and the version of the game
- You can copy the games from the list
- You can print the list or save it to a text file
- You can also view images of the game
- It may be in English language!
- You can specify the colors of the list
- You can resize the window and the columns (which are kept)

I wrote this tool in vb6, I would therefore not ported to another OS (linux).

AT&T says no Windows Phone 7 for pre-order

Windows Phone 7 is arriving at AT&T in just a couple of days and if you were looking to beat the crowds, you’ll have to get there early. According to the carrier’s Twitter account, there will be no pre-orders available. It’s all first come, first served. In a tweet to a curious user, AT&T says:

Nathan, It’ll be available in AT&T Corp stores and online @att.com/wirelss, sold on a first come first serve basis on 11/8.

These days it almost seems uncommon that a carrier wouldn’t allow pre-orders for major phone launches. The iPhone was available for pre-order for AT&T, and several Android devices were also available for pre-order from Sprint and Verizon.

If you get a hunch that waiting around for the HTC Surround or Samsung Focus until after work isn’t going to cut it for you on the day November 8, you might want to hit stores early or get online early!

The Playstation Phone

It's hard to believe that what we're looking at is real -- but we assure you, the picture above is in fact the PlayStation Phone you've long been waiting for. As we reported back in August, the device you see is headed into the market soon, likely boasting Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), along with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform. The device snapped up top (and in our gallery below) is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. Looking almost identical to the mockup we hit you with this summer, the handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch, and you can see in the photos that it's still bearing those familiar PlayStation shoulder buttons. For Sony buffs, you'll be interested to know that there's no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards.

The particular model in these shots is still in prototyping mode. As such, the unit doesn't have a custom skin (not even SE's Timescape design seen on the Xperia devices), and is said to be rather buggy. We're digging into more facts as we speak, but it's likely that much of what we reported earlier is still accurate, and though the device could still be headed for a 2010 release, 2011 is looking much more realistic. Still, there's a lot of time between now and the holidays... so keep your fingers crossed!

PSX Store, download demos without going through the PSN

For now the website only contains game demos retails, but homebrew will soon make their appearance. The advantage is that you can connect to this site without being in 3.50 from the moment an internet connection is set on your PS3.

It is therefore a copy of the PSN, but with the possibility to consult without being updated, it will save you having to manually upload the demos / homebrew through a USB or use the website with your java pc.

Once in place the homebrew, this site will surely become a must and we will gain speed and simplicity.

How to Jailbreak iOS 4.2 GM

Apple has seeded the final GM release of iOS 4.2 to developers. The recently released Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 (based on Geohot’s Limera1n) can jailbreak all of the current iOS devices on iOS 4.2. This has also been confirmed by MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team.

Today Apple released to developers the GM seed for 4.2. Tinkerers will find that yesterday’s redsn0w jailbreaks today’s 4.2 GM seed, simply by pointing redsn0w at the 4.1 IPSW (rather than the 4.2 one). Right now it mostly only makes sense for JB app developers to do that because many apps (including Cydia itself) need to be updated for 4.2. However, if all you want to do is enable afc2 (to use iFunBox or other file browsers), or to tweak settings like Battery % and Homescreen wallpapers, then go for it (if you have valid paid access to the GM seed). Be sure to uncheck the Cydia box, though! Ultrasn0w unlockers should stay very far away from this!!

So if you are feeling adventurous, you can give Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 a go on iOS 4.2 GM release. Supported devices are:
iPhone 4
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 3G
iPad
iPod touch 4G / 3G / 2G
